DefinitionWhat is a GRA-approved CCTV installation?
A GRA-approved CCTV installation is a surveillance system designed and installed by a security provider approved by RAK Police and the General Resources Authority, built to the Hemaya technical specifications. In Ras Al Khaimah, CCTV for commercial premises is regulated under Law No. 3 of 2015 on Technical Systems for Establishments Security, as amended by Law No. 6 of 2021. The system must cover entrances, exits and emergency exits with images clear enough to identify people, run continuously, and retain recordings for at least 90 days.

FAQFrequently asked questions
How much does CCTV installation cost in Ras Al Khaimah?
It depends on the number of cameras, resolution and storage requirement. A basic 4-camera system for a small shop starts from AED 1,500–2,500. A full GRA-approved 8–16 camera system for a warehouse or hotel ranges from AED 4,000 to AED 12,000+. We survey the site free of charge and quote exactly.
How long must CCTV recordings be kept in Ras Al Khaimah?
Under RAK security regulations, recordings must be retained for at least 90 days without unauthorised alteration. We size storage to meet that requirement for your camera count and resolution.
Where are cameras not allowed?
Cameras must not be installed where people reasonably expect privacy — toilets and bathrooms, bedrooms, changing rooms, treatment rooms, similar private areas and areas designated for women. Under the 2021 amendment, breaching this carries a fine of not less than AED 5,000.
Which CCTV brands do you install?
We are an authorised distributor and partner for Hikvision, Dahua and Uniview (UNV) in Ras Al Khaimah, and we also supply Samsung security cameras. The range covers IP cameras, NVR and DVR systems, PTZ and thermal cameras.
Can I view my cameras from my phone?
Yes. Every system we install comes with remote viewing configured at no extra cost, using Hik-Connect, DMSS or EZView depending on the equipment. We set up the network and cloud access during installation.
Which outdoor cameras suit the UAE climate?
We recommend Hikvision ColorVu or AcuSense with IP67 weatherproofing and a -40°C to +60°C operating range. Dahua WizSense is also a strong option. All cameras we supply are rated for Gulf conditions, including dust and heat.
