Laptop motherboard undergoing chip-level micro-soldering repair
Definition

What is chip-level repair?

Chip-level repair means diagnosing and fixing a fault on the circuit board itself — replacing an individual component, re-soldering a connection or re-balling a chip — instead of replacing the whole motherboard. It requires micro-soldering equipment and board-level diagnostic skill. It is usually far cheaper than a board swap, and on older or unusual models it is often the only option, because replacement boards are no longer manufactured.

How it works

Our process

1

Bring it in or book

Walk into our Al Nakheel showroom or message us on WhatsApp to describe the fault.

2

Diagnosis

Our technicians test the machine and identify the actual fault rather than guessing at the symptom.

3

Quote before work

You get a price and an honest view of whether the repair is worth it. Nothing proceeds without your approval.

4

Repair

Component-level repair where possible, part replacement where not.

5

Test and return

We test under load before returning the machine, so the fault does not come back the same week.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which brands do you repair?
All major brands — HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asus and Apple MacBook — for both laptops and desktops.
My laptop got wet. What should I do?
Power it off immediately, do not try to charge it, and do not switch it on to "check if it works" — that is what usually causes the permanent damage. Bring it in as soon as possible. We handle liquid-damage treatment and can attempt data recovery first if the data matters more than the machine.
Is it worth repairing or should I replace the machine?
We tell you honestly after diagnosis. If the repair cost approaches the value of a replacement, we say so — and we can quote a new machine at retail or trade pricing instead.
Do you repair printers too?
Yes. We handle printer repair including paper-jam and error troubleshooting, print-head cleaning, drum and roller replacement, plus network and Wi-Fi printer setup. We also stock original and compatible toners and cartridges.
