Data recovery in Ras Al Khaimah

If a drive has failed and the data matters, stop using it. RADON offers data recovery at our Al Nakheel service centre from hard disks, SSDs, USB drives, NAS units and RAID arrays — whether the failure is physical, logical or an accidental format.

Definition

What is data recovery?

Data recovery is the process of retrieving files from storage that has become inaccessible. Failures fall into two broad types. Logical failures — accidental deletion, formatting, corrupted file systems — leave the hardware intact and are often recoverable with specialised software. Physical failures — head crashes, motor failure, damaged controller boards, liquid or heat damage — require the drive to be worked on at hardware level. Continuing to use a failing drive frequently turns a recoverable case into an unrecoverable one.

How it works

Our process

1

Stop using the drive

Power it down and do not run repair tools on it. Every extra write reduces what can be recovered.

2

Bring it in

Visit our Al Nakheel service centre or send the drive to us.

3

Assessment

We identify whether the failure is logical or physical and what is realistically recoverable.

4

Quote and approval

You get an honest assessment and a price before any recovery work begins.

5

Recovery and handover

Recovered data is transferred to new media and handed back, with backup advice so it does not recur.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you always recover the data?
No, and anyone who promises otherwise before seeing the drive is guessing. Logical failures such as deletion or formatting have good odds. Severe physical damage, overwritten sectors or destroyed platters may be unrecoverable. We assess first and tell you honestly what is realistic.
What should I do the moment I notice a drive failing?
Power it off and stop using it. Do not run chkdsk, do not reformat, do not install recovery software onto the same drive, and if it is making clicking or grinding noises do not keep powering it on. Each of those actions can permanently destroy recoverable data.
Do you recover from NAS and RAID arrays?
Yes. RAID and server recovery is part of our service. Bring the full set of disks and any information you have about the array configuration, as it materially improves the chance of a clean rebuild.
How do I avoid needing this again?
Keep at least two copies on separate media, with one of them off the machine that creates the data. We set up backup and data migration as part of the service, and IT AMC plans include backup management.
