What is structured cabling?

Structured cabling is a planned, standards-based cabling system for a building: fixed data outlets at each work position, cables running back to a central rack, terminated on patch panels and connected to switches. It replaces ad-hoc cable runs and makes the network testable, documentable and easy to change. In practice it is what lets you move a desk, add a camera or trace a fault in minutes instead of hours.

Frequently asked questions

Should I use Cat6 or Cat6A?
Cat6 is sufficient for most offices running gigabit to the desk. Cat6A is worth the extra cost on longer runs, for 10-gigabit links, for high-density Wi-Fi access points and in electrically noisy industrial environments. We advise per site rather than applying one rule everywhere.
Can you fix Wi-Fi dead zones?
Usually yes. Dead zones normally come from too few access points, badly placed ones, or a single consumer router trying to cover a whole building. We survey coverage and place proper access points — mesh for homes and villas, cabled enterprise access points for offices.
Which networking brands do you supply?
Cisco, Aruba, TP-Link and Ubiquiti, plus Grandstream and Yeastar for IP telephony. We match the brand to the site rather than pushing one vendor.
Do you handle cabling for CCTV at the same time?
Yes, and it is much cheaper to do both together. Running camera and data cabling in one visit avoids duplicating containment, labour and disruption.
