Smart home and automation in Ras Al Khaimah

Smart home work only pays off when it is installed on a network that can carry it. RADON fits automated gates and doors, video door entry, intercom and smart access control for villas across Ras Al Khaimah — and, because we build the cabling and Wi-Fi too, the devices stay connected once we leave.

Definition

What counts as a smart home system?

A smart home system is a set of devices — gates, door locks, intercoms, cameras, lighting or climate controls — connected to a network so they can be operated from a wall panel or a phone app, and in some cases triggered automatically. The devices are the visible part; the reliability comes from the infrastructure underneath, which is why smart home installations most often fail on weak Wi-Fi coverage, not on the devices themselves.

How it works

Our process

1

Site survey

We look at the gate, doors, entry points and — critically — whether the network can reach them.

2

Design and quote

We propose devices that genuinely work together, plus whatever cabling or Wi-Fi is needed to support them.

3

Infrastructure first

Cabling, power and network coverage go in before the smart devices, not after.

4

Install and configure

Gates, locks, intercom and access devices installed, linked and tested together.

5

Handover

App set up on your phones, users enrolled, and a walkthrough of how to add or remove access.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why do smart home devices keep disconnecting?
Almost always weak Wi-Fi at the device, not a faulty device. A single router in the living room cannot reliably reach a gate motor at the end of a driveway or a lock on an outside wall. The fix is proper coverage — cabled access points or a mesh system placed by survey rather than guesswork.
Can I open my gate from my phone while away from home?
Yes, with automated gates and app control configured. It is commonly used to let in a delivery or a family member without being there — and every open event is logged.
Can the video door entry link to my CCTV?
Usually yes, depending on the equipment. Linking them means a doorbell press can be matched to camera footage from that moment, which is far more useful than either system alone.
Do I need to replace everything to start?
No. Most homes start with one or two things that solve a daily annoyance — usually the gate and video door entry — then extend later. We design so the first stage does not have to be undone to add the second.
